Meet downtown’s newest shop! The Hermit on Green Street opened early last month on May 4th at 3 Green Street, and the shop is like a curio cabinet brimming with treasures. Their shelves are filled with a diverse array of goods, from vintage books and captivating paintings to elegant jewelry, and charming antiques.
The streets of Downtown Hingham will come alive on Sunday, Oct. 20, from noon to 4 p.m., with the sounds of music, the beauty of local art, and tastes of local food.
The Hingham Historical Society sponsored a fundraiser which offered a chance to talk and dine with renowned historian David McCullough. The intimate gathering was described as “a conversation with esteemed historian, two-time Pulitzer Prize winner, and neighbor David McCullough describing his approach to researching and writing history.”
Hospitality plays a key role in making the HCC a vibrant, welcoming space. The new CEO, Carolyn Kennedy, invites members of the community to stop by for a cup of coffee and share your ideas about what you would like to see offered at the HCC.
